Amman's governor, Yaser Al-Adwan, has apprehended 70 individuals involved in acts of rioting causing damage to public and private property.

These incidents occurred during various public demonstrations and rallies, where the individuals failed to adhere to the law.

A reliable source stated that law enforcement agencies have referred several rioters, who assaulted security personnel, set fires and inflicted damage on citizens' property, to the judiciary and Amman's governor for legal action, under the provisions of the Anti-Crime Law.

It was further noted that some of the detainees have been granted bail according to legal procedures, provided they commit not to repeat their actions.

The area of Rabieh witnessed a series of attacks on property and assets, including the destruction of traffic lights, during the these events.

In an earlier statement, the General Security Directorate emphasized its complete commitment to upholding citizens' rights and enabling them to express their opinions peacefully and in accordance with the law.
