In a recent operation, the Eastern Military Zone intercepted two drones carrying narcotics that were attempting to cross into Jordanian territory from Syria.

A military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) said that the border guards, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), detected an unauthorized attempt by two drones to breach the borders from Syrian territory into Jordan.

The source clarified that both intercepted drones were loaded with a quantity of crystal meth, and the confiscated materials have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Emphasizing their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the border, the JAF reiterated their determination to respond with full force to any threat at the border and any attempt aimed at undermining national security and causing fear among citizens.
