In a successful operation, local security forces apprehended a highly dangerous and armed individual who was on the wanted list in the southern Badia region.

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) confirmed that Thursday evening, a security operation was executed to apprehend a wanted person who was classified as extremely dangerous and armed.

The wanted individual had been evading capture for an extended period and had several arrest warrants issued against him related to narcotic substances.

Furthermore, he had been sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison.

This sentence was imposed after half a million narcotic pills were confiscated in a prior case tied to him.

He held the distinction of being recognized as the biggest drug dealer operating in the southern region and Southern Badia.

The PSD's spokesperson highlighted that a dedicated investigative team from the Anti-Drug Department had been diligently tracking the movements of the wanted individual for several weeks.

Their efforts culminated in locating and raiding the individual's hideout, leading to his arrest.
