July 2023 set to be world's hottest month in 120,000 years

Climate scientists revealed data indicating that July is on track to become the hottest month ever recorded.

Karsten Haustein, a renowned climate scientist from Leipzig University in Germany, highlighted the worrisome trends. According to the data, July is expected to surpass the previous record-breaking month, July 2019, by at least 0.2 degrees Celsius. What's even more concerning is that the current projections indicate that this could mark the hottest month on Earth in approximately 120,000 years.

This concerning trend in July's temperatures is part of a broader series of data that climate experts are closely monitoring to comprehend the ramifications of human-generated emissions on our planet. The rise in global temperatures has triggered natural disasters and highlights the urgent need for sustainable and eco-conscious practices.

In recent weeks, there have been smaller records that have already been shattered. On July 4, the world experienced an average temperature of 17.18 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest day in over 44 years. Additionally, June this year also broke a record when global temperatures soared 1.05 degrees Celsius above the 20th Century average. This was the first time a summer month surpassed one degree Celsius above the normal temperature.2023-07-28
