In Egypt, a woman was killed during Eid Al-Fitr, 48 hours after getting married.

According to her lawyer, the forensic report showed that the woman was stabbed more than eight times all over her body.

The lawyer said, one of her fingers was cut off and there was a significant wound in the head.

The accused left her 'soaking in blood' in the bedroom before calling her brother, he added.

The security services in Gharbia were the ones to respond to the incident after her family reported that her 'lifeless' body was found.

According to Egyptian media outlets, criminal investigation officers were able to arrest the husband accused of killing his wife with a knife.

Notably, the weapon used to commit the crime has been seized.
