The cabinet for political and security affairs in the Israeli Occupation announced that it had "taken a series of decisions," after its session Thursday evening.

In a statement, it added that "all decisions came based on the recommendations of the army and security forces in response to the shooting of citizens in the north and south."

The brief statement did not disclose the nature of the steps to be taken by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).

Roya's correspondent said earlier that the IOf issued a statement announcing "the start of a military operation against targets and sites belonging to the Palestinian resistance and Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip."

This comes hours after several rockets were fired from southern Lebanon towards Israeli Occupation settlements in the northern occupied Palestine.
