The MSC Splendida cruise ship docked in Aqaba Monday with 4,218 people on board, including 3,050 tourists of various European and Arab nationalities, as well as 1,168 crew members.
Notably, 13 cruise ships have arrived in Aqaba since the beginning of the year, bringing in more than 30,000 tourists.
This number is a huge increase in comparison with last year's figure recorded during the same time period, which stood at 5,000.
Tourists that arrived on board of the MSC Splendida will tour Jordan's Golden Triangle, which includes Petra, Wadi Rum, and Aqaba.
The cruise ship came from the Egyptian port of Safaga and will head to the Saudi port of Jeddah Monday.
