Jordan remains affected by the extension of the so-called Siberian High, which results in a significant drop in temperatures, Director of Operations at Arabia Weather Osama Tarifi told Roya Monday.

He pointed out that scattered thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday accompanied by heavy showers of hail.

Tarifi revealed that snow is expected in areas near the Iraqi border in eastern Jordan, and the areas of the Ruweished Brigade.

He said that the snow is only expected in the east of the Kingdom.

Notably, the Siberian High is a massive collection of cold dry air that accumulates in the northeastern part of Eurasia from September until April.
