The death toll from a landslide in India has risen to 37, the Indian authorities said on Sunday.

Authorities added that rescue teams are battling heavy rains in search of 25 others who are missing three days after the disaster.

Floods of mud and rocks swept through a railway construction site in the remote northeastern state of Manipur, following heavy rain early Thursday.

Authorities rescued 18 people in the first hours after the disaster.
