The Director of the Studies and Documentation Unit in the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Authority, Abdel Nasser Farwana, said that the Israeli occupation, through its various tools, has escalated its arbitrary arrests since the beginning of this year, in all Palestinian governorates, especially in Jerusalem.

Thus far in 2022, 2,709 Palestinians have been arrested.

He added that the total of those arrests constituted an increase of 58 percent over what was recorded in the same period last year.
