An official source in the Jordan Media Commission (JMC) told Roya Friday that Marvel's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been banned from screening in all cinemas across Jordan.

According to the source, the JMC issued this decision on April 27 after the film's manufacturer and distributor refused a request to delete a few scenes that do not represent the morals of Jordanians.

The decision was based on the provisions of Article (7/b) of the Audiovisual Literature System and its Monitoring No. 63 of 2004, and its amendments.

Notably, several Arab countries decided to ban the screening of the film, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and others.
