Jordan confirms two deaths and 225 coronavirus cases in one week

Jordan recorded two deaths and 225 new coronavirus cases in one week (from April 23 until April 29), bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,695,970, according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.

The death toll has risen to 14,066.

The cases are:

-152 in Amman

-24 in Zarqa

-12 in Mafraq

-11 in Irbid

-10 in Balqa

-Nine in Karak

-Three in Jerash

-Two in Madaba

-Two in Ma'an

A total eight cases have been admitted to the hospitals in one week, and 19 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 14 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 163 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 18,164 PCR tests were conducted in one week.

The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 1.24 percent.
