Jordan confirms five deaths and 313 coronavirus cases in one week

Jordan recorded five deaths and 313 new coronavirus cases in one week (from April 16 until April 22), bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,695,745, according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.

The death toll has risen to 14,064.

The cases are:

-203 in Amman 

-32 in Zarqa

-22 in Irbid

-17 in Mafraq

-14 in Balqa

-11 in Karak

-Four in Ramtha

-Four in Jerash

-Three in Aqaba

-One in Ajloun

-One in Madaba

-One in Ma'an

A total 14 cases have been admitted to the hospitals in one week, and 30 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 29 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 252 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 19,992 PCR tests were conducted in one week.

The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 1.57 percent.
