Thursday, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in the United Kingdom approved the use of Spikevax vaccine, previously known as Moderna, for children between the ages of six and 11 years old.
This comes as the UK is strengthening its efforts to combat the spread of coronavirus in light of the emergence of new strains.
The agency said that the vaccine was approved after meeting the required safety, quality and efficacy standards.
