Six people suffered from shortness of breath and burns in various parts of their bodies after a fire broke out Thursday inside a sweets shop in Jabal Al-Hussein area in Amman, according to the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD).

The rescue and ambulance teams of the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) were able to put out the fire.

The teams provided the necessary first aid to the injured and then transferred them to Al-Bashir Governmental Hospital, the spokesperson added.

The cause of the fire was a gas leakage from one of the cylinders inside the store.
