Jordan records 21 deaths and 8,234 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 21 deaths and 8,234 new coronavirus cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,631,708.

The death toll has risen to 13,835.

The cases are:

-3,504 in Amman

-1,222 in Irbid

-889 in Zarqa

-752 in Balqa

-372 in Karak

-270 in Mafraq

-235 in Jerash

-235 in Madaba

-205 in Aqaba

-176 in Tafilah

-155 in Ajloun

-126 in Ramtha

-50 in Ma'an

-43 in Petra

A total 98 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 142 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 713 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 82,095 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 39,667 PCR tests were conducted.

Monday, 20.76 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 17.97 percent Sunday.
