Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected Russia's offer to hold negotiations in Minsk, suggesting alternative cities including Budapest and Warsaw.

In a video, Zelensky expressed his openness to dialogue in other cities.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said earlier on Sunday that a Russian delegation had arrived in Belarus for talks with the Ukrainians, RT reported.

Peskov stated that the delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and others, including the presidential administration, and their arrival was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

"We will be ready to start these negotiations in the city of Gomel," he added.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday Ukraine was willing to hold talks with Russia, but rejected convening them in neighboring Belarus as it was being used as a launchpad for Moscow's invasion.

"Warsaw, Bratislava, Budapest, Istanbul, Baku. We proposed all of them," Zelensky said in an address posted online.
