Jordan records 23 deaths and 15,107 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 23 deaths and 15,107 new coronavirus cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,541,379.

The death toll has risen to 13,608.

The cases are:

-6,622 in Amman

-1,886 in Irbid

-1,365 in Zarqa

-1,154 in Balqa

-681 in Madaba

-649 in Karak

-626 in Mafraq

-552 in Aqaba

-411 in Jerash

-361 in Ajloun

-360 in Tafilah

-305 in Ramtha

-73 in Petra

-62 in Ma'an

A total 199 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 205 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 1,145 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 196,165 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 65,715 PCR tests were conducted.

Thursday, 22.99 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 26.87 percent Wednesday.
