Jordan records 17 deaths and 8,170 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 17 deaths and 8,170 new coronavirus cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,197,250.

The toll has risen to 13,174.

The cases are:

-4,213 in Amman

-1,389 in Zarqa

-709 in Irbid

-610 in Balqa

-274 in Aqaba

-202 in Madaba

-182 in Ajloun

-168 in Karak

-147 in Mafraq

-139 in Jerash

-113 in Ramtha

-24 in Ma'an

A total 213 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 101 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 870 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 77,899 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 34,619 PCR tests were conducted.

Saturday, 23.60 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 20.94 percent Friday.
