Director of Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), Raed Al-Khattab, said that the air depression that will affect the Kingdom tomorrow, Wednesday, is a rapid one, and will only last 24 hours or less.

Khattab added to Roya, on Monday, that the cold air mass will be concentrated over Syria, and its impact is expected to begin tomorrow morning, Wednesday, in the northern regions of Jordan, extending gradually to the center and south.

He pointed out that the depression is expected to carry hail and heavy rains that will lead to torrential rains, in addition to snow falling on heights of up to 1,000 meters above sea level.

He explained that some areas will witness snow accumulations of varying thickness ranging from 2 to 3 centimeters in the southern heights.

As for western Amman, its heights will witness a thickness of snow reaching 1 centimeter.

Khattab added that the precipitation in the northern and central regions will stop at dawn on Thursday, and the atmosphere will begin to stabilize from Thursday noon.
