The Minister of Education, Wajih Owais, said that the central planning committee in the ministry is the one concerned with postponing teaching and the teaching-related agenda.

Owais added, in an exclusive interview with Roya’s Nabd Al-Balad, on Monday evening, that there is no decision yet regarding the postponement of the start of the second semester.

He pointed out that the decisions of the Central Planning Committee are not binding, and that its recommendations will be presented to the Epidemiology Committee and then to the Higher Framework Committee.

Owais added that there is an expected decision regarding the fate of the start of the semester next Sunday.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Wajih Owais, confirmed that no official decision has been issued regarding the postponement of the start of the second semester.

He also stressed the Ministry of Education and Higher Education insist that education in schools and universities is in line with the health protocol.
