Jordan records 16 deaths and 2,930 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 16 deaths and 2,930 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,085,500.

The death toll has risen to 12,909.

The cases are:

-1,662 in Amman

-370 in Irbid

-238 in Balqa

-220 in Zarqa

-92 in Karak

-82 in Mafraq

-64 in Madaba

-61 in Jerash

-48 in Ajloun

-32 in Ma'an

-27 in Ramtha

-23 in Aqaba

-11 in Tafilah

A total 84 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 78 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 655 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 28,205 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 36,409 PCR tests were conducted.

Tuesday, 8.05 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 6.90 percent Monday.
