Adviser to the Prime Minister for Health Affairs, responsible for the coronavirus file, Adel Belbisi, said Wednesday that Defense Order No. 35 contributed to the high demand for receiving the coronavirus vaccine.

In radio statements, Belbisi added that around 45,000 people are getting vaccinated with the first and second doses daily, indicating that these large numbers have not been witnessed for months.

He called on everyone to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

Belbisi stressed that the country has the right to take any measure to maintain the containment of the epidemiological situation and prevent a collapse of the health system.

Jordan recorded 23 deaths and 2,296 new coronavirus cases Tuesday.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Jordan has confirmed 1,069,549 cases and 12,765 deaths.
