A bride and groom found great difficulties in holding their wedding ceremony with the increase in the number of COVID-19 infections and the government’s direction to tighten its control measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

Due to that, the newlyweds decided to hold a virtual wedding and celebrated their wedding through a Facebook live.

Mahmoud, the groom, told Roya on Saturday that he wanted to deliver a simple message with the idea he implemented, proving "that you can reduce the very high costs that you are going to spend on [renting] a venue in addition to many other things. You’ll save money."

He continued "Due to the increase in the number of coronavirus infections, we decided to make it more simple, especially that every attendee should be tested for COVID-19, so we decided to save all of these costs and share our happy day with you remotely."
