Sunday, specialized teams were able to control a nitrogen gas leakage from one of the cylinders in Al-Hussein Salt New Hospital.

Earlier, social media users circulated pictures of a number of ambulances in front of the new Salt Hospital amid reports of a gas leak.

The director of the hospital, Rami Abu Rumman, said that a leak in the back-up nitrogen gas cylinder occurred at dawn on Sunday in the hospital.

Abu Rumman indicated that a maintenance employee suffered minor burns on his hand from the gas, and he was provided with first aid.

Notably, on March 13, a technical defect in the Al-Hussein New Salt Hospital caused patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) to be cut off from oxygen, which led to the death of a number of Jordanians and outrage in the Kingdom.
