In a statement Thursday evening, the Kuwaiti embassy in Lebanon called on Kuwaiti nationals in Lebanon to leave and urged those wishing to travel from Kuwait to Beirut to wait.

Earlier, the embassy called on Kuwaiti citizens present in the Lebanese Republic to be careful and to stay away from gathering sites, warning of security disturbances in some areas. 

Several people were killed and others wounded Thursday in a shooting during a demonstration against the judicial investigator in the case of the explosion of the Beirut Port.
