Saturday, the Taliban announced the abolition of the Ministry of Women and its replacement with a Ministry of Promoting Virtue and Preventing Vice.

According to an Afghani news agency, the Taliban removed the banner of the Ministry of Women and replaced it with another banner bearing the name of the new ministry, this happened as female workers in the ministry gathered, demanding that they be returned to work in order to feed their families.
