An official military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) - the Arab Army said that the JAF, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, is following up on the news of finding the remains believed to belong to a Jordanian soldier who was martyred at the site of Tal Al-Amkhira near the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem during the battles that the Arab Army fought in the June War of 1967.

The source confirmed that the concerned authorities are currently conducting the necessary examinations to determine the identity of the martyr, whose remains were found along with a knife, a ring, a helmet and a gas mask belonging to the Jordanian Army.

The source added that the identity of the martyr and all information related to him will be announced later through the competent authorities.

Hebew media said that these remains belong to a member of the Jordanian army who was martyred 54 years ago in the June War in 1967.

Investigations are currently underway.
