JU releases statement following death of citizen after vaccination

Sunday, Jordan University (JU) announced that the vaccination site on campus will continue operating normally.

JU's Media, Public Relations and Radio Unit commented on the death of the citizen, 66, who received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the university's vaccination site Sunday, saying that the citizens sat on the bench outside the hall and lost consciousness for 10 minutes after getting vaccinated.

Health care staff provided him with the necessary medical care until the ambulance arrived and transported the person to the Jordan University Hospital (JUH), accompanied by the medical staff from the vaccination site.

The person died shortly after and the body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department to investigate the cause of death.

JU extended its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
