Jordan records 12 deaths and 301 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 12 deaths and 301 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 745,667.

The death toll has risen to 9,647.

The cases are:

-150 in Amman

-49 in Irbid, including one in Ramtha

-49 in Zarqa

-18 in Mafraq

-Nine in Ajloun

-Eight in Balqa

-Six in Tafilah

-Four in Karak

-Two in Jerash

-Two in Madaba

-Two in Ma'an

-One in Aqaba

A total of 64 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 54 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 6,652 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 304 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 729,368.

There are 467 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 14,236 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,642,608.

Friday, 2.11 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.46 percent on Thursday.
