Wednesday, a dual British-Israeli Occupation national, Ayelet Balaban, had her place of birth listed as "Occupied Palestinian Territories" instead of "Jerusalem" after renewing her British passport, according to Hebrew media.

In her previous passport, her place of birth was listed as Jerusalem.

Balaban told Hebrew media she thought that she made a mistake, or perhaps it was because she now lives in a new Zionist village, founded by settlers who left the Katif bloc, Gaza during the Israeli Occupation’s 2005 withdrawal from the enclave.

Notably, Balaban, whose father is British, was born at Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in occupied Jerusalem.

The Israeli Occupation claims the medical center sits within the territory that formed an Israeli Occupation "exclave" between 1948 and 1967, at which time Zionist forces ethnically cleansed Palestinians and took the land from Jordan.

According to Hebrew media, the British Home Office later apologized, describing the listing as an “error,” adding that an investigation has been launched into the matter.

Balaban contacted the Israeli Occupation Ambassador to the UK but has yet to receive a response.

In turn, Hebrew media said it reached out to the Israeli Occupation Foreign Ministry who said they were launching investigations into the incident, while the British embassy in the Israeli Occupation did not respond.

According to the British Home Office, they have "withheld recognition of sovereignty over Jerusalem pending a final determination of its status. We recognise Israel's de facto authority over West Jerusalem. In line with Security Council Resolution 242 (1967) and subsequent Council resolutions, we regard East Jerusalem as under Israeli occupation."
