Thursday, Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh stressed that "the public and private sectors must cooperate to solve the issue of unemployment in Jordan.”

Khasawneh said in his meeting with investors in the King Hussein Bin Talal Development Area in Mafraq that the public sector, which has promoted the development process in Jordan and established basic infrastructure, is unable today to provide the climate and space for the outputs of the human forces that are looking for and seeking for jobs, and therefore the private sector must assume this responsibility, so that the private sector becomes able to provide job opportunities and achieve economic growth.

Khasawneh added “We are fully aware that one of the aspects of fighting unemployment is dealing with investment and its laws."

He pointed out that currently the government is reviewing the laws regulating investment in order to remove obstacles and facilitate procedures for investment.
