Jordan records 12 deaths and 598 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 12 deaths and 598 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 741,699.

The death toll has risen to 9,561.

The cases are:

-298 in Amman

-94 in Zarqa

-63 in Irbid, including five in Ramtha

-30 in Karak

-24 in Mafraq

-20 in Balqa

-19 in Ma'an

-16 in Aqaba

-12 in Jerash

-Seven in Ajloun

-Six in Madaba

-Four in Tafilah

A total of 58 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 66 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 8,501 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 841 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 723,637.

There are 471 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 20,459 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,471,403

Wednesday, 2.92 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.75 percent on Tuesday.
