Sunday, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dhaifallah Ali Al-Fayez, said that the Israeli Occupation authorities informed the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv that it is likely that all necessary procedures and arrangements will be completed for the release of the Jordanian citizen Abdullah Abu Jaber, Monday, June 7, and he will be transferred to King Hussein Bridge Tuesday morning.

Sunday, a source in the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the release of the Jordanian prisoner who has served the longest sentence in Israeli Occupation prisons of all Jordanian prisoners, Abdullah Abu Jaber, has been postponed after 20 and a half years.

The source said the reason behind the postponement was the failure to complete procedures for the release of Abu Jaber.

The prisoner's family was only able to visit him twice since his arrest on December 29, 2000.

Notably, Abu Jaber is one of 22 Jordanian prisoners detained by the Israeli Occupation authorities in its prisons.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said Abu Jaber was meant to be released Sunday, June 6.
