The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said one person died during an altercation in the North Shouneh area in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He added that the deceased, who suffered from health issues, fainted after someone hit him over the head with a bottle and died soon after.

The body was transported to the Forensic Medicine Department (FMD) to determine the cause of death.

Investigations are underway.
