The Israeli Occupation Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, issued a statement Tuesday promoting Tel Aviv and Washington relations, following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent statement on the Iran nuclear agreement with Washington.
Gantz said "Iran poses a threat to regional stability and world peace. It is a country that incites 'terrorism' and is developing a nuclear program that poses a threat to the [Israeli Occupation]... However, [the Israeli Occupation] is the most powerful country in the region."
Gantz continued, noting the US has and will always be the most "important ally of Tel Aviv in maintaining its security superiority in the region."
The Israeli Occupation "will not have a better partner than the United States... Even if there are differences, they will be resolved through direct dialogue, behind closed doors, and not through provocative rhetoric, [which] could harm [the Israeli Occupation's] security," said Gantz.
He added the US protects the Israeli Occupations "security and qualitative supremacy in the region."
The administration of US President Joe Biden is a true friend of the Israeli Occupation, he indicated.
Earlier Tuesday, Netanyahu confirmed that his country would choose to thwart Iran's nuclear program even if relations with the United States were strained.
