Monday, a group of members of Parliament (MPs) called on the government to take measures to protect the Palestinians residing in the occupied interior, in light of the harassment they face from the Israeli Occupation, especially in Lod and Ashkelon.

In a memorandum adopted by MP Farid Haddad, the MPs pointed out that during the recent events in Palestine, the Palestinians residing in the occupied interior who supported others in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza "were subjected to harassment" in Lod and Ashkelon.

The statement called on the government to take all political and diplomatic measures on the level of the international community, in order to protect them from injustice and possible displacement.
