Reuters reported that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit the Israeli Occupation entity and the West Bank on Wednesday and Thursday to reinforce the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The US State Department announced that Blinken is scheduled to visit the Middle East in the coming days to hold meetings with his Israeli and Palestinian counterparts.

Late Thursday, the Israeli Occupation and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire following 11 days of violence that killed over 200 Palestinians.

The ceasefire went into effect at 2am Friday, following exchanges of fire.

US President Biden said he would work to provide 'rapid humanitarian assistance' to Gaza, following devastation in the enclave by Israeli Occupation airstrikes.
