His Majesty King Abdullah II, during a phone call with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, stressed the need to put an end to the provocative Israeli Occupation violations against the brotherly Palestinian people in East Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which led to the ongoing dangerous escalations.

His Majesty said Jordan continues to provide all means of support to the Palestinians, including medical and relief needs, and facilitating aid from other countries through its territories.

“Jordan will persist in efforts to safeguard Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, in line with the Hashemite Custodianship,” His Majesty said.

His Majesty stressed on the importance of maintaining close coordination with Arab countries and working to develop an effective international position to stop the Israeli Occupation violations and end the aggression on Gaza.
