A member the Hamas movement, Izzat al-Rishq, claimed that no agreement was reached with the Israeli Occupation, and no specific timing was set for a ceasefire, despite claims made by Hebrew media that Hamas agreed to a ceasefire on Thursday.
Tuesday, Hebrew media reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the US that Tel Aviv was ready for a ceasefire with Palestinian factions within two or three days, noting that he has informed Washington of the matter.
In turn, US President Joe Biden voiced his support for a ceasefire Monday, as the Israeli Occupation intensified violence in Gaza.
During a phone call with Netanyahu, Biden "expressed his support for a ceasefire and discussed US engagement with Egypt and other partners towards that end," according to a White House statement.
This was the first time the White House officially made mention of a ceasefire.
Notably, several UN Security Council emergency session's were held in recent days which all ended with no concrete outcome after the US blocked a joint statement calling for immediate ceasefire between the Israeli Occupation and the Palestinian resistance groups several times.

Ironically, this also came after the US administration approved the sale of $735 million in arms to the Israeli Occupation.
Hebrew media did not disclose further information regarding the statements, and it was not possible to obtain immediate comments from the parties concerned.
Rishq assured that the efforts of their mediators are serious and continuous, "and the demands of our people are clear and known."
