Jordan records 19 deaths and 276 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 19 deaths and 276 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 723,345.

The death toll has risen to 9,243.

The cases are:

-124 in Amman

-40 in Zarqa

-29 in Mafraq

-28 in Irbid, including one in Ramtha

-25 in Ajloun

-12 in Karak

-Six in Balqa

-Four in Madaba

-Four in Ma'an 

-Three in Jerash

-One in Aqaba

-Zero in Tafilah

A total of 98 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 58 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 11,268 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 824 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 702,834.

There are 724 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 8,857 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,921,815.

Saturday, 3.12 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 3.41 percent on Friday.
