Wednesday, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced the establishment of the main prayer hall for Eid prayers at Al-Hussein Sports City. Eid prayers are set to be held Thursday at 7am.

The ministry said in a press statement that all the gates of Al-Hussein Sports City will be open to worshippers wishing to perform the Eid prayers in the main prayer hall, which also includes a prayer room for women.

This came in order to avoid overcrowding.

The ministry lastly called on worshippers to adhere to the required health and safety measures which include social distancing and wearing face masks.

Tuesday, the Grand Mufti of Jordan, Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Khasawneh, announced that Wednesday will be the last day of the holy month of Ramadan, and Thursday will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.
