The United Nations envoy to the Middle East, Tor Winsland, warned Tuesday that the escalating violence between the Israeli Occupation and Hamas would lead to "all-out war."

Winsland called on both sides to "immediately cease fire," adding, "We are heading towards all-out war. The leaders of all sides must assume responsibility for de-escalation."

"The war in Gaza will be devastating, and ordinary people will pay the price," he said.

And Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz promised Tuesday evening that the Israeli strikes on Gaza "are only the beginning."

"There are still a lot of targets in the targeting circle, and this is only the beginning," Gantz told television.

"No sovereign country accepts targeting its residents, and we also do not accept that," he said, after three people were killed in the Israeli Occupation on Tuesday by rockets fired from Gaza.

The head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed Tuesday evening that "the resistance is ready" if the Israeli Occupation wanted "escalation."

"If they [the Israeli Occupation] want to escalate, the resistance is ready. If they want to stop, the resistance is ready," Haniyeh said in a televised speech on the Hamas satellite station Al-Aqsa.

"This is a message that we conveyed to everyone concerned," he added, referring to the mediators who are trying to establish a truce between the two sides.

The Qassam Brigades announced that, on Tuesday evening, it fired 130 rockets towards Tel Aviv.

These missile attacks came about half an hour after several Israeli Occupation airstrikes targeted a 12-storey building housing offices of Hamas officials and was completely destroyed.

In the last two weeks, hundreds of Palestinians have been assaulted by the IOF in Occupied Jerusalem, particularly in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, where residents are attempting to protest illegal evictions.
