The military wing of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades launched a missile strike Monday against the Israeli Occupation in occupied Jerusalem, in response to its crimes and aggression against the Holy City and its abuse of the people of Sheikh Jarrah and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, said, “Al-Qassam Brigades are now launching a missile strike against the enemy in occupied Jerusalem in response to his crimes and aggression against the Holy City and his abuse of our people in Sheikh Jarrah and Al-Aqsa Mosque."

In a statement, Al-Qassam Brigades said, "A message that the enemy should understand well ... If you return, we return, and if you increase, we will too."

Beforehand, Abu Ubaida warned the Israeli Occupation, giving them an "ultimatum until 6pm," to withdraw security forces from several parts of Jerusalem.

He threatened more attacks if they continue storming the Aqsa compound or continue uprooting Palestinian families from their neighborhoods in East Jerusalem.

Sources stated the sound of warning sirens and the sound of explosions can be heard in the city of Jerusalem.

As sirens went off, the Knesset cancelled its session and evacuated members.
