The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources confirmed Monday, that it is studying all options available for the distribution of gas cylinders, in a way that will facilitate the efficient provision of services to all segments of society.

On April 26, the commission conducted a poll asking Jordanians to express their views on the sound of the gas truck music.

On their website, the commission asked citizens what they thought about keeping music as a siren to notify citizens and residents of the arrival of propane gas distribution trucks in their areas.

The options to answer were, "Yes, I find it appropriate", "No, I prefer to order [gas] by phone", "No, I prefer to order via a smart application".

According to the commission, around 10,000 individuals participated in the poll, which revealed that arouond 80 percent of respondents preferred to request gas through phones or smart apps.

They also confirmed that the option to switch to the use of smart applications, if adopted, will be gradual in parallel with other available options and in line with the needs of citizens.

The commission praised the citizens' response and interaction with the various proposals that were presented, stressing the importance of interaction in order to find the most appropriate solutions for service recipients.

They noted that they will take into account the interest of all parties concerned in this field.
