Monday morning, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem and violently attacked the Palestinians who were present.

The IOF fired bullets, tear gas and sound bombs inside the mosque. A number of people were injured as they fought back with stones and firecrackers.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said the IOF prevented their staff members from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque to provide first aid and medical care to those who were injured.

Thousands of Palestinians from occupied Jerusalem and other parts of Palestine gathered in the courtyards and squares of Al-Aqsa Mosque in response to calls by settlers to raid it Monday morning.

Palestinians chanted slogans calling for the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, as well as the Palestinian resistance in Gaza Strip.

Thousands of Israeli Occupation Officers were present in Jerusalem to prevent Palestinians from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, as well as to protect settlers.
