A rising number of Malaysian cat lovers are dressing up their pets with traditional outfits in celebration of Eid Al-Fitr.

The holiday marks the end of Ramadan with feline lovers creating traditional ethnic Malay outfits for cats.

Pet product and fashion company Meowku co-founder Raja Nur Alya Raja Abd Aziz told AFP “We came up with this idea when we were taking photos with our family (during Eid), and one of our cats did not (share) the same (clothing) theme with us.”

She added “From there we had the idea: Why don’t we try clothes for our cat so the cat doesn’t feel left out?”

Nur Alya said the fabric of the festive cat clothes were comfortable and prices range between $1.20 and $18.22 per piece.
