Friday, Instagram banned users from using and circulating the hashtag “Al-Aqsa” at a time when the violations and provocations of the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinians continue.

Additionally, a lot of Instagram accounts were shut down following the use of the hashtag in recent days.

The Occupied city of Jerusalem is witnessing a tense atmosphere punctuated by a barbaric attack by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Palestinians in Al-Aqsa Mosque, where dozens of Palestinians were wounded with rubber bullets.

Earlier Saturday, the Palestine Red Crescent Society said that around 180 citizens were wounded, of varying degrees, after the IOF stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque's courtyard, attacked worshipers, and suppressed sit-ins in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Occupied East Jerusalem.
