The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, Adel Belbisi said Friday that companies producing the vaccines have begun trials to include those under the age of 18, pregnant and lactating women, and those planning to get pregnant in the vaccination programs.

Belbisi added that administering the COVID-19 vaccine for those who have a history of hypersensitivity is not considered a contraindication but it requires a medical observation. However, he said that this excludes those who have not been included in the vaccination trials.

Jan. 13, Jordan began its national COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
