A Bulgarian tourist tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Aqaba, according to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).

According to ASEZA, the tourist had tested negative for COVID-19 before travelling to the Kingdom. However, she tested positive for COVID-19 after conducting a PCR test at the King Hussein International Airport.

The tourist has been self-isolating along with one other person, in compliance with health protocols, added ASEZA.

ASEZA, in cooperation with the competent authorities, has adopted a set of protective measures against COVID-19.
